Write a letter to one or more of the companies below asking them to start up a dividend reinvestment plan, share purchase plan and direct stock purchase plan. We need to encourage ALL Canadian companies to offer this and allow average Canadians to invest in great companies.

When writing a letter to the company, it's important to mention a these important points:
  • You would like to be a long-term shareholder of the company, which is beneficial to them.
  • As a shareholder, you are more likely to be customer of the company.
  • There are over 1,000 American companies offering free DRIP & SPP plans, but only a handful Canadian ones.
  • A Direct Share Purchase Plan is available in certain Provinces and would allow Canadians to invest directly in Canadian Companies.
